Quota & Multi-Site Shared Pool
How image conversions are calculated, tracked, and shared across multiple WordPress sites.
Each plan includes a monthly processing quota. This page explains how it is counted and shared between sites.
How quota is counted
Usage is measured in megabytes processed per month:
- Successful conversions only: Only images that are compressed successfully and end up smaller count against your quota.
- Failed or discarded files: If an upload fails validation, or the result would be larger than the original, nothing is deducted.
- Monthly reset: Quotas reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month.
Unlimited sites, one shared quota
Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) allow unlimited WordPress sites. You can connect client sites, staging sites, and subdomains to one account. The Free plan is limited to one site.
How the shared pool works
- All connected sites authenticate using the same customer account.
- Every site draws from the same single monthly quota pool.
- Your dashboard shows the combined usage of all sites.

When you reach your quota
When your account uses 100% of its monthly quota:
- Your site keeps working: Pages load normally and no images disappear.
- New uploads stay unoptimized: New images are left as they are in your media library until the quota resets or you upgrade.
- Notification: You receive a dashboard notice and an email.
- Upgrade: You can upgrade at any time in the customer portal, and optimization resumes right away.
