Camera & Gallery Batch Compression
How to compress single and bulk images using the SmallPict Mobile App.
The mobile app reduces photo file sizes, often by up to 90%, before you share or publish them.
1. Optimizing a single image
- Open the SmallPict App on your iOS or Android device.
- Tap Take Photo to shoot directly from the camera, or Select from Gallery.
- Choose your desired output format:
- AVIF (recommended): Smallest files, for web use.
- WebP: Works in more older browsers.
- JPEG / PNG: Compressed, in the original format.
- Set quality slider (Default:
80%). - Tap Optimize Now.
- Compare the before and after versions side by side, with zoom.
2. Batch compression
When managing hundreds of product photos or event shots:
- Tap Batch Mode in the top navigation bar.
- Select multiple images (up to 100 per batch).
- Specify maximum dimensions (e.g.
Max Width: 1920px). - Tap Start Batch Optimization.
- Save the output to a new album in your photo gallery or export as a
.ziparchive.
